The
picturesque resort of Akbuk is one of the hidden
gems of Turkey, located on the south west coast of the
Aegean. The lively resort of Altinkum is approximately
19km from Akbuk and you can reach Altinkum by either car
of local bus. Kusadasi 65km and Bodrum 70km. Akbük is
the quieter alternative to the busier holiday resorts
and is still relatively unrecognized throughout the

beautiful bay surrounded by protected forests and olive
groves. Akbuk became a township in 1991 and is
developing according to plan; future developments

allowed between the months of May - October, and no
buildings are to be built any higher than 2 ½ storeys.

also said to have the highest oxygen ratio and lowest
